Several inbound and outbound BNSF Line trains will be cancelled or delayed on Saturday, Nov. 6, and Sunday, Nov. 7, due to the construction of a pedestrian underpass near the Western Springs Station.
The schedule for the weekend showing which trains are cancelled and delayed can be viewed here. Metra apologizes for the inconvenience.
The new pedestrian underpass near Prospect Avenue, a Western Springs project, will replace the at-grade Central Avenue crossing while providing improved safety for Metra commuters and residents who use Spring Rock Park, the Village Club Pool, Theatre of Western Springs and the Western Springs Recreation Center.
