CHICAGO — During an attempted robbery in Dunning on Chicago’s Northwest Side, two people were shot, including a 15-year-old boy.

According to Chicago police, the incident happened in the 3600 block of North Octavia.  A 15-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man contacted a 29-year-old man about a gaming console the 29-year-old had posted for sale online.

According to CPD, the three of them had planned to meet Saturday night to purchase the item.  When they finally met around 10:10 p.m., one of the people buying the item grabbed it and began walking to his vehicle without paying for it.

According to CPD, the 29-year-old man then ran after him and saw another person sitting in the vehicle pointing a gun at him.  The 29-year-old drew his gun and shot both people.  The 19-year-old was shot in the shoulder and the teen was shot in the head.

CPD is investigating.
