Chicago Man Charged in CTA Attack of 16-Year-Old Girl

CHICAGO – A Chicago man was charged in the attack of a 16-year-old girl on CTA platform in February.  

Chicago police said, on February 21, 2023, Lijah Graham, 45, of the 400 block of N. St. Louis Ave, allegedly threatened a 16-year-old girl and struck her arm while the victim was standing on a CTA platform in the 0-100 block of W. Van Buren St.

Graham was taken into custody on Thursday in the 1100 block of S. Wabash Ave and was determined to be a known violent offender against youth and not in compliance with annual registration.

Graham has been charged with one felony count of aggravated battery of a transit passenger, one felony count for failing to register as a violent offender against youth.

Graham will appear at a bond hearing on March 3 at 2600 S. California Ave.
