DALLAS – Southwest Airlines announced that it has teamed up with long time partner Community Coffee to offer inflight Coffee’s Espresso + Cream iced coffee.
Southwest said the inflight coffee drink is available for passengers to purchase for $4. The partnership between Southwest and Community Coffee started back in 2016 but will now extend into offering the iced coffee onboard. According to Southwest, the long awaited decision was the result of a Mintel survey that said 42% of Gen Z consumes cold coffee. Southwest expects to serve about 4,000 Espresso + Cream everyday.
Community Coffee Company is the largest family-owned retail coffee brand in the United States. The company is an importer, roaster, and distributor of coffee products online, in retail stores, and businesses nationwide.
