WASHINGTON – Almost 3 millions pounds of canned meat and poultry products have been recalled by Conagra Brands due to a packaging defect that may have spoiled the product.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said the recall affects certain Armour Star products, canned Vienna sausage products produced under brands like Goya, the Kroger label, and Prairie Belt. A complete list can be found here.
According to the USDA, the meat and poultry products were produced between December 12, 2022 and January 13, 2023, and the items were shipped to retail stores nationwide. The recall affects cans with product number P4247.
