JOLIET, IL – A man has been charged with setting a home on fire because he was upset with his girlfriend Friday night.
Chicago police said, around 10:18 pm, 45-year-old Kevin Williams allegedly set fire to a home in the 1500 block of North Prairie Avenue while his 47-year-old girlfriend and four others were inside the residence. Williams was allegedly angry with his girlfriend and set the grange and an empty bedroom on fire with gasoline. A woman, 26, and three children were evacuated safely. Williams was arrested in the garage.
