Man Charged in Connection with North Lawndale Shooting

CHICAGO – A man has been charged in connection with a shooting in the North Lawndale neighborhood last October.

Chicago police said, on October 13, 24-year-old Shaheer Muhammad, of Chicago, allegedly shot a 39-year-old man twice in the back in the 3800 block of West Roosevelt Road.  The victim self transported himself to a local hospital where he was listed in serious condition.

Muhammad was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with one felony count of aggravated battery.
