CTA Passenger Prevents Robbery by Shooting Mugger

CHICAGO – A Chicago man has been charged in the attempted robbery of a CTA passenger.

According to Chicago police, around 5:00 pm on Friday, 33-year-old Darius Moss, of Chicago, robbed a passenger on the CTA Green Line in the Austin neighborhood.  The passenger, who is a FOID card and concealed carry holder, pulled out a gun and shot Moss.

Police said on Friday around 5 p.m., Darius Moss, 33, was on a CTA Green Line train in the Austin neighborhood when he robbed the victim. The victim then pulled out his gun and shot Moss.

Moss has been charged with felony armed robbery and one felony count of being an armed habitual criminal.
