BELLEVUE, WA – T-Mobile announced Thursday that the data of nearly 37 million customers has been stolen by an unidentified malicious intruder in November.
In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the data breach was discovered on January 5. However, customer passwords, bank account and credit card numbers, and social security numbers were not exposed. T-Mobile said the breach occurred on November 25. This is not the first time T-Mobile has been hacked. T-Mobile has admitted to previous data breaches in August and November of 2019 in addition to January and August of 2021.
