Elmhurst: Man Accused of Defacing Church with Nazi Swastikas

ELMHURST, IL – A man has been arrested for painting Nazi swastikas on a church in Elmhurst.  Josef Stumpfoll, 35, of Wheeling, Illinois, is accused of painting seven swastikas on the windows of the Pathway Community Church on December 30.  According to police Strumpfoll was a former member of the church’s flock.  Strumpfoll was arrested at his home in Wheeling and has been charged with a felony hate crime and felony institutional vandalism.  Strumpfoll has been given a $100,000 bond.
