Man Allegedly Broke Into Home Beating Victims With Piece Of Lumber

COOK COUNTY, IL – A Chicago man has been charged with breaking into a home in unincorporated Stickney Wednesday and beating a man and woman with a piece of lumber.  According to the Cook County Sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a reported home invasion in the 7100 block of West 74th Street and were given the description of the suspect.  The suspect, who was intoxicated, was found outside of the victim’s home.  The suspect was taken into custody with the help of the Bridgeview Police Department. 

Alexander Villamil

According to the 66-year-old victim, he had answered his front door, thinking it was a relative.  However, it allegedly turned out to be Alexander Villamil, 35, holding a blunt piece of lumber.  When the victim attempted to slam the door shut, Villamil allegedly forced his way into the home and struck the victim with a piece of lumber.  Sheriff’s deputies also said that a female victim, 20, was also struck by the piece of lumber.

Villamil, who is also out on probation for bank robbery, has been charged with home invasion and bond was set at $100,000.
