CHICAGO – A man was shot to death Friday night in the Bronzeville neighborhood. According to police, the male victim, 36, was standing on a sidewalk in the first block of East 40th Street around 8:17 pm when a gunman opened fire. The victim was shot in the chest and transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead. No suspect is in custody.
