Woman Killed, Teen Wounded In South Side Shooting

CHICAGO –  A woman was killed and a teenage boy was injured Friday night in a drive-by shooting on the South Side. 

Chicago police say around 8:30 pm, a 42-year-old woman was walking with a teenager in the 2300 block of East 100th Street when someone opened fire on them from a black SUV. 

The female victim was shot in the hip and taken to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead. 

The male victim was wounded in the shoulder and taken to an area hospital where he is listed in good condition.

No suspects are in custody.
