Smash And Grab Robberies Plague North Side

CHICAGO –  Smash and grab robberies are on the rise for North Side businesses.

Chicago police said at least six businesses were robbed Friday morning.   According to investigators, the offenders broke into the businesses by throwing something to break through a glass entrance and then steal property and cash from the register. 

The following locations were robbed Friday morning: 

2400 Block of North Clark St.    

3300 Block of North Western Ave.

3500 Block of North Western Ave.

4000 Block of North Western Ave.

7000 Block of North Western Ave.

7300 Block of North Western Ave.

According to witnesses and security footage, police are searching for 2-3 suspects who are Black wearing hooded sweatshirts and face masks.
