CHICAGO – A man was shot multiple times on the Near West Side early Sunday morning.
Around 2:40 am, police responded to shots fired in the 2200 block of West Walnut Street. On scene, police encountered a shooter who fled in a gray sedan and a 28-year-old male victim that was shot 2-3 times in the back. The victim was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
