CHICAGO – A teenager was shot while riding in a car Thursday night in Pilsen.
According to police, the 16-year-old victim was in a car traveling in the 2000 block of South Carpenter Street around 8:40 pm. The victim claims he witnessed a man and woman standing on the sidewalk on South Carpenter Street. The man allegedly pulled a gun out of the woman’s purse and opened fire on the vehicle occupied by the victim. The victim was wounded in the neck and taken to an area hospital where he is listed in fair condition.
