CHICAGO – The Chicago Police Department has issued a warning for North Side residents as Wrigleyville sees an increase in kidnappings and robberies. On early Sunday, three victims were robbed after they got into strangers’ cars. Two of the robberies involved outright kidnapping.
According to police, a 27-year-old man was walking in the 3400 block of North Clark after midnight when two men forced him at gunpoint into a gray sedan. The victim told police that he was taken for a ride and then robbed before being released.
Police also reported that a 23-year-old man was forced into a gray sedan on Addison and later relieved of his wallet and phone before being released.
