CHICAGO — A Chicago Public Schools student was allegedly in possession of a deadly knife during an altercation Wednesday at Smyser Elementary School in Portage Park.
According to Chicago police, there was an altercation between two students in which one of the students involved claimed the other was holding a knife. Police confirmed that staff were able to end the fight before it escalated. No students were harmed.
