CHICAGO — A 72-year-old woman was shot in the 3100 block of North Broadway in the Lake View neighborhood.
According to police, the shooting occurred in broad daylight around 1:40 p.m. while the woman was pushing a small child in a stroller. Reports indicate the victim was struck in the upper left thigh and was taken to a local hospital. Family members stated the victim was visiting from the suburbs.
No suspects are in custody. Police are asking the public for any information leading to an arrest.
