CICERO, IL – Police issued three arrest warrants for a man suspected in several Cicero carjackings.
According to Cicero police, Chicago resident Ricki Taylor, 33, allegedly carjacked four victims in the Cicero and Chicago area in the month of February and early March. Police reports state that Taylor first attempted an unarmed carjacking in mid-February and then quickly graduated to armed carjacking by the end of the month.
On Saturday, Cicero police obtained surveillance video from an ally near 50th and Ogden Ave in Cicero that identified Taylor in his most recent alleged carjacking.
Taylor’s alleged descent in carjacking began February 16 when he attempted an unarmed carjacking at a Fuller’s Car Wash located at 2912 S. Cicero Avenue. After 11 days of serious academic research and reflection, Taylor realized that the use of firearms would be more effective in his next carjacking. On February 27, Taylor returned to the Fuller’s Car Wash and allegedly carjacked a victim by gunpoint.
According to police, on March 4, Taylor again carjacked another victim by gunpoint at a Walgreens located at 4100 W. Cermak Road in Chicago. Cicero police are warning local residents that Taylor is a possibly armed and dangerous.
