CHICAGO – A Metra conductor was robbed by a passenger Tuesday at the Van Buren Street Station.
According to Metra, around 2:10 p.m., a Metra Electric Line heading into Chicago pulled into the Van Buren Street Station. As the train came to a stop, the suspect brandished a handgun and announced a robbery. The suspect then stole cash from the conductor and fled the scene. The suspect was later arrested in Calumet City.
He then proceeded to steal the conductor’s cash and fled into the station.
Metra said Tuesday that a suspect was arrested overnight in Calumet City.
