NAPERVILLE, IL — A Naperville man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the killing of a maintenance worker at an apartment complex.
According to Naperville police, Xavier Caffey, 30, shot and killed Jeffery Churchill, 41. Churchill worked as a maintenance man at an apartment complex on Fairway Drive.
Police said, Caffey entered a garage and pointed a handgun at one man and then pointed it a Churchill. Caffey then pulled the trigger and shot Churchill multiple times in the head. After an hours long standoff, Caffey was taken into custody by Naperville police.
A $1 million bond has been set for Caffey.
