CHICAGO – A 60-year-old-man was shot while trying to stop an armed robbery Thursday night on the North Side.
According to Chicago police, the man saw a 34-year-old woman being robbed at gunpoint in the 5900 block of North Glenwood Avenue in Magnolia Glen. The 60-year-old attempted to intervene in the robbery when he was shot by the assailants. The man is listed in fair condition at St. Francis Hospital.
CPD reported that the female victim was not injured during the robbery and that the gunmen escaped with the female victim’s purse.
There are no suspects in custody.
