Loop: 4 Stabbed On CTA Platforms Within Hours Apart

CHICAGO – Four people were stabbed within hours in two separate attacks on CTA platforms in the Loop.

Chicago police said three people were stabbed around 9:20 p.m. on the Jackson Red Line platform.  Two assailants approached a 29-year-old male victim and demanded his backpack at knifepoint.  The male victim handed his backpack to the robbers and was stabbed in the back of the ear.  The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is listed in fair condition.  According to police, two other males were stabbed by the men as they fled the scene.

In a separate incident, a 29-year-old male victim was stabbed around 3 a.m. with a pair of scissors after getting into an argument with a man on Washington Blue Line platform, according to police.

There are no suspects in custody.
