CHICAGO – The Chicago Bears announced Monday that head coach Matt Nagy and General Manager Ryan Pace have been fired after a year of defeats.

Nagy joined the Bears in 2018 and was once believed to be one the great offensive strategists in the sport.  Pace was hired in 2015, but his tenure was stained by his failure to secure a franchise quarterback.

The only glimmer of light in the Nagy-Pace regime was the Bears ability to make it to the playoffs twice only to be humiliated with “double-doink” loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.
