BRADLEY, IL — A police officer was murdered and another was badly injured in a shooting at a hotel in Bradley on Wednesday night.
Bradley police officers responded to a complaint of dogs barking in an unsecured car in the parking lot of a Comfort Inn in the 1500 block of North State Highway 50 at 9:35 p.m., according to police.
According to investigators, officers approached the hotel room of the vehicle’s owner to inquire about the dogs. During the questioning, the alleged suspects in the room attacked and shot both officers. One officer was pronounced dead and the other is listed in critical condition.
Darius D. Sullivan, 25, has been arrested, and police are hunting for another person of interest.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of Sullivan.
