RACINE, WI — Two Chicago men were arrested on Christmas Eve after a daring 120 mph police chase in Wisconsin.
According to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office, Shamir McNair and Antoine Gibson were arrested on Christmas Eve after a 120-mph pursuit on I-94. The suspects were pulled over for speeding on Friday afternoon. When the suspects’ vehicle came to a stop the driver quickly sped off into traffic. As McNair and Gibson reached 120-mph, Racine County Sheriff’s deputies disengaged from the pursuit to reduce danger to other motorists and police.
According to authorities, McNair and Gibson exited I-94 at Seven Mile Road and nearly plowed into another sheriff’s deputy who was in a squad car. McNair and Gibson’s sailed through the intersection and resumed speeding down I-94 only to exit again west bound on 27th Street in Franklin.
The suspects’ car was later found at 27th and Drexel and the two occupants were arrested without incident.
