Concealed Carry License Holder Shoots Man In Head

CHICAGO — A 54-year-old man with a concealed carry license shot a 32-year-old man outside a Jewel-Osco on Chicago’s Southwest Side on Monday.

A 54-year-old was leaving the grocery store in the 5300 block of S. Pulaski Rd. in the West Elsdon area shortly after 5 p.m. when he got into a physical altercation with a 32-year-old. The older man then pulled out a gun and shot the younger man in the head in the parking lot of the Jewel-Osco, according to Chicago police.

According to CPD, the 32-year-old was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition.  The 54-year-old suffered a right-hand injury and was transferred to Holy Cross in excellent condition.

According to Illinois State Police, the 54-year-old possesses a valid FOID card as well as a Concealed Carry License.
