CHICAGO – On Sunday afternoon, two people were killed in a car accident near Edgewater on the North Side.
The two victims were in a vehicle that was moving at a high rate of speed in the 5300 block of North Lake Shore Drive at 12:45 p.m. when the vehicle collided with a tree and burst into flames, according to Chicago police.
One individual was brought to Illinois Masonic Hospital. The other male, 24, was sent to Evanston’s St. Francis Hospital.
