CHICAGO — Last week, a Chicago man was arrested after reportedly threatening a CTA bus driver with a gun.

Maurice Lowry, 28, allegedly boarded a CTA bus around 11:25 p.m., according to Chicago police.

On Wednesday, Dec. 8, he brandished a gun and ordered the 64-year-old female driver bring him to an off-route site.

According to CPD, the CTA bus driver cooperated, taking Lowry several blocks before ordering her to stop the bus where Lowry then exited and walked off into the night.

Lowery was apprehended by CPD about 20 minutes later and was later charged with one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon.
