Bus Driver Stabbed In Lincoln Park Robbery

CHICAGO — In Lincoln Park, a man was arrested after stabbing a CTA bus driver who caught him attempting to pickpocket a rider.

The driver was on his route in the 300 block of North Avenue at 9:20 p.m. when he noticed a man on the bus attempting to pickpocket a woman, according to Chicago police.

According to CPD, the driver approached the suspected pickpocket and scuffle ensued.  During the struggle the pickpocket brandished a knife and stabbed the driver in the hand.  The suspect fled the scene but was later arrested by police.
