South Side Woman Charged With Attempted Murder

CHICAGO — A South Side woman was charged Tuesday in connection with the stabbing of a woman in the South Side’s Ida B. Wells Homes area.

According to Chicago police, Niquia Simbler, 36, was charged with first-degree attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.  Simbler is accused of stabbing a 34-year-old woman multiple times in the 600 block of East 37th Street on Oct. 26.

Simbler was arrested in Maywood, Illinois, on Monday and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
