CHICAGO – Two people were shot, one murdered, in the Austin area early Sunday. The shooting happened in the 5900 block of West North Avenue. An unidentified gunman opened fire on a 27-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman inside a gathering shortly after midnight, according to Chicago police.
The male victim was shot multiple times in the torso and was taken to an aera hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The female victim was shot in the leg but was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
There is no suspect in custody.
