LEMONT, IL — Human remains discovered in a forest preserve in DuPage County have been identified as those of missing United Airlines executive Jake Cefolia.
The identity of the remains was confirmed by the DuPage County coroner on Sunday afternoon. The coroner stated that the cause and manner of death had not been determined.
The positive identification was made after a Forensic Odonatologist examined dental records. Contractors working at Waterfall Glen discovered the remains on Friday, south of the youth-group campground.
Cefolia, 50, was last seen at a gas station in Elmhurst on the morning of August 7, 2020.
