Waukegan Man Charged In Slaying Of Man Found Slumped Over In Vehicle

WAUKEGAN, IL — In the shooting death of another man in June, a 19-year-old suburban male has been charged with first-degree murder.

Waukegan police arrived in the 1600 block of 11th Street shortly before 5 a.m. on June 13 for a complaint of shots fired.  On the scene, patrolmen discovered a man slumped over in a vehicle that had collided with a building.  According to police, the man had been shot.

Wilson was charged with unlawful weapon use, aggravated unlawful weapon use, and first-degree murder.

Officers arrested Anthony Wilson Jr. of Waukegan in connection with the fatal shooting on Tuesday, Oct. 12.  Wilson appeared in court Wednesday and was released on a $2 million bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on November 4.
