ATTEMPTED CARJACKING IN DOWNERS GROVE

DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Downers Grove police are looking for two suspects in connection with a carjacking attempt that occurred Thursday afternoon.  DGP officers responded to a report of an attempted carjacking at the BP Gas Station at 4314 Main Street around 1:15 p.m.

According to police, two Black males exited a dark-colored Dodge minivan and approached the victim who was filling up their vehicle with gas.  One of the criminals pointed a gun at the victim, who fled the vehicle.

According to authorities, the suspects were unable to start the vehicle and returned to the getaway minivan.  At the time of the attempted carjacking, two other persons were inside the minivan.

According to DGP, the minivan exited the parking lot northbound on Main Street and was last seen entering eastbound I-88 at Highland Avenue.
