CHICAGO — The names of five fallen Chicago police officers, including Ella French, were inscribed on a memorial wall at the Gold Star Families Memorial on Thursday by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.
Among those being honored are four men who died from the coronavirus last year.

- Officer Marco DiFranco, a 21-year veteran of CPD
- Officer Ronald Newman, a 19-year veteran of CPD
- Field Training Officer Titus Moore, 14-year veteran of CPD
Officer Ella French’s name was the 595th to be unveiled on the memorial wall. French was a three-year Chicago Police Department assigned to the Community Safety Team. Officer French was shot and killed during a traffic stop in West Englewood in August.
