CHICAGO – Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx is a dismal failure and soft on violent criminals. Perhaps Foxx should transfer to the Cook County Public Defender’s Office and let a real prosecutor elected by the people take over her duties, rather than one bought and paid for by an unnamed billionaire.
Everyday lawlessness is spreading through the streets of Chicago, if not all major cities in the Union. Shootings and murders in Chicago are becoming as common as shoplifting and drug needles in San Francisco.
It is time for Chicago citizens to stand up and demand Foxx fight for detaining violent criminals and prosecute them to the fullest measure. If she doesn’t, Chicago must take over the prosecution of criminals Foxx lets roam free on the streets.
The City of Chicago should take on prosecuting crimes such as looting, vandalism, illegal firearm possession, and other violent crimes. Some in the City Council have called for the ability to levy hefty 5 figure fines with up to 6 months in Cook County Jail.
Even if the “revolving door” of Foxx’s prosecution strategy continues (until people wake up and remove her from office) the City should be able to slow the turn style with fines and monthly jail sentences in the infamous Cook County slammer where they serve a wicked oatmeal.
Kim Foxx’s “revolving door” is also hampering efforts of witnesses to come forward to help bring criminals to justice. Why would a witness come forward if the criminal will be released back onto the streets within 24 to 48 hrs. to hunt and kill those willing to testify against them.
Foxx claims she is focused on violent crime and blurts out stats about record convictions. Wake up and smell the coffee Ms. Foxx, every day the streets are filled with stories of carjackings, shootings, and murders. The criminals have no fear of you and your so-called prosecution efforts.
I once wrote that Mayor Lightfoot has blood on her hands for refusing federal help over a year ago based on politics only to take federal help from the Biden administration in recent weeks. How many have died or had their lives changed over that year because of growing crime? Foxx has blood on her hands too for failing in her duties.
