GLENCOE, IL – Another change in the Chicago area, after 50-years the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe will start charging admission to patrons.
Starting in January 2022 patrons will be charged on a sliding scale fee structure and can expect to pay between $10 to $26.
CBG president and CEO Jean Franczyk said the decision to charge admission was driven by popularity of the park that before the pandemic drew more than a million visitors a year.
According to Franczyk, parking fees will drop from $20 to $30 to $8. Franczyk also recommends patrons plan ahead and visit at times less popular than spring weekends when “plan-ahead pricing” is available. The park will also offer 52 free days per year like other major museums in the area.
