HINSDALE, IL — Following an 8-hour standoff with local police Thursday morning, two desperate criminals were apprehended.
DuPage County Sheriff arrested, Channty Keo, 44, of the 5000 block of North Mason Avenue, and Jonathan Boyce, 36, of the 1200 block of Sunset Avenue in Yorkville, and charged the bandits with one felony count of possession of a defaced firearm.
According to officials, DuPage County Sheriff’s deputies and Metro SWAT responded to multiple shots fired around 1:10 a.m. on Thursday in unincorporated DuPage County.
Officials say both criminals fired a 9mm Springfield Armory handgun with a tampered serial number into the woods behind a Vine Street address.
A local resident commented “. . . this usually a safe neighborhood, but when two wretches like this come to shoot off guns, well, I have to consider moving, maybe out of state. I pay property taxes to keep scum like this in jail. John Dillinger had class, but these two are garbage!”
