CHICAGO — The Archdiocese of Chicago has reinstated the Rev. Michael Pfleger as senior pastor at St. Sabina after clearing Pfleger of child sex abuse charges.
Pfleger has been out for more than 5 months after three victims accused him of sexually abusing them as minors in the 1970s. According to Cardinal Cupich, the investigation of abuse charges against Pfleger, indicates “no reason to suspect” that he is guilty of the allegations.
Pfleger will take a few weeks off to prepare for his return and will be re-instated as pastor on June 5.
